The Chaparral 287 SSX is a 29-foot open-bow day cruiser built on a fiberglass hull and powered by a single MerCruiser 8.2-liter sterndrive engine delivering 380 horsepower. It reaches a top speed in the high 40s and cruises comfortably at 35 knots, making it a capable performer for family outings and water sports.

The layout centers on an integrated swim platform and U-shaped cockpit seating with a convertible aft sun lounge. The helm features a double-wide seat with custom steering wheel and tilt steering, while the bow converts into a large sun pad with hinged cushions and under-seat storage. A walk-through transom door and concealed bow boarding ladder provide easy water access. The galley includes a solid-surface countertop, sink, and ice chest, while a wet bar and cockpit table complete the entertaining setup.
