The 2017 Elling E4 Ultimate is a 49-foot fiberglass motor yacht powered by a single Volvo D8-600 hp diesel engine paired with a Volvo D1-30 wing engine. Built with a reinforced hull incorporating Kevlar for added strength, the yacht carries a blue hull with white deck and achieves a cruising speed of 4.3 knots. CE Category A certification confirms its ocean-going capability. Propulsion is handled by a 50mm stainless steel shaft with water cooling and tide marine seal, fed by a 1,500-liter main fuel tank plus a 100-liter auxiliary tank for the wing engine. Dual bow and stern thrusters from Sidepower with Duo prop SE100/185T provide superior maneuvering control, supported by a Seakeeper 5 stabilizer system offering 85 percent roll reduction even at lower speeds.
The accommodations comprise two cabins plus saloon. The owner's cabin features a king-size bed, wooden flooring with carpet, wooden cabinetry, and an ensuite bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower connected to the 150-liter blackwater tank. The forward cabin holds a double bunk, while the side cabin provides additional berths. A wooden laminate floor runs throughout the saloon and secondary cabins. Galley equipment includes a ceramic cooktop with four burners, full-size Bosch Exclusiv SuperSilence dishwasher, Indesit washer-dryer combination, and extractor fan. The Kabola KB40 Ecoline central heating system with water-filled radiators serves both cabins, while air conditioning is installed in the salon and both sleeping quarters.
Electronics and systems are comprehensively outfitted. Raymarine equipment includes two i70 tri-data displays, two Axiom Lighthouse plotters with RMK remote, VHF Ray260, P70R autopilot, AIS 650 transceiver, and a 4-foot open scanner. A rearview camera on the bathing platform aids docking. Navigation and anchor winch controls operate from the helm, alongside searchlight management. Power management relies on separated battery banks: Exide Marine AGM units for bow and stern thrusters, separate batteries for the main engine, and four service batteries rated 2,500 watts via a Mastervolt inverter. Fresh water capacity stands at 650 liters.
Recent work completed in early 2025 includes hard black anti-fouling, new zinc anodes, replacement of the shaft aft bearing, installation of an aft cooler on the main engine, and four trim tabs. New cushioning throughout the interior, Bimini top, sprayhood, and side skirts in light grey were also fitted. The main engine shows 1,145 hours of operation.
