2017 Fortier F-30 Hardtop

This 2017 Fortier F-30 Hardtop is a 30-foot fiberglass downeast boat powered by twin Volvo D-4 diesel engines rated at 225 horsepower each, with 302 engine hours logged. The hardtop includes an enclosure, and the boat is equipped with full electronics including FLIR night vision. Maximum speed reaches 29 knots, with a cruising speed of 23 knots.

The hull employs a Core-Cell foam core wrapped in fiberglass layers over full-length stringers that run from bulkhead to transom, resulting in a stiff structure and a quiet ride. The design features a molded-in keel and spray rails that provide stability and a dry entry in rough water. This construction approach also offers thermal insulation against temperature swings between cold water and warm air.

The boat has a large open cockpit comparable in size to the larger Fortier 33 model, while incorporating classic Down East styling elements. The redesigned opening port windows add character typical of the downeast tradition.
