The Lucia 40 is a 2017 Fountaine Pajot catamaran designed by Olivier Raccoupeau. At just over 38 feet in length with a 21-foot-plus beam, she combines contemporary styling with efficient use of space. Two Volvo Penta diesel engines of 59 horsepower each deliver a cruising speed of roughly 3 knots and a maximum speed of approximately 4 knots.
The layout includes four cabins arranged for comfortable cruising. The main saloon offers generous natural light and lounge seating, while the expansive cockpit spans nearly 130 square feet with a dining table, shade from the bimini top, and easy access to water via a swim ladder and deck shower.
Accommodation and galley equipment includes a stove, oven, refrigerator, freshwater system with hot water, electric heads, and a dishwasher. Climate control is provided by air conditioning and heating throughout.
Navigation and safety equipment is comprehensive: GPS chartplotter, autopilot, radar with reflector, wind gauge, depth sounder, speedometer, and AIS. Additional systems include VHF radio, on-board computer, electrical architecture with batteries and charger, shore power connection, inverter, bilge pump, fire extinguisher, life raft, and anchor with powered windlass. Entertainment features Bluetooth connectivity and MP3 capability.
