2017 Lagoon 42

This 2017 Lagoon 42 catamaran is a well-maintained cruising platform built in fiberglass with a 42-foot length and 25-foot beam. Twin Yanmar diesel engines rated at 57 horsepower each power the boat through saildrives fitted with folding three-blade propellers. The hull underwent comprehensive recoating in 2023, including epoxy barrier coat and Coppercoat application, along with replacement of thru-hulls, fittings, saildrive seals, and all anodes.

The boat is configured with four cabins and four heads, each with hot and cold water showers. The salon features air conditioning throughout (48,000 BTU capacity), an entertainment system with large television, and a galley equipped with refrigeration, freezer, icemaker, and espresso machine. Two water tanks totaling 600 liters are complemented by an Aquabase watermaker installed in 2021, a pressurized deck washer, and a rainwater collection system.

Power generation relies on a 600Ah lithium battery bank upgraded in 2021, supported by 1400 watts of Victron rigid solar panels on a stainless arch with dual 50-amp MPPT controllers. A Victron 3000VA inverter and 11kVA Onan genset provide additional capacity. Navigation equipment includes a B&G Zeus2 12-inch chart plotter, Halo20+ radar, autopilot, AIS transponder, and multiple display systems. The main and jib sails date to 2017, with running rigging replaced in 2021 and new jib mainsheet added in 2023.

The boat includes a 3.4-meter fiberglass dinghy with a 2020 Yamaha 15-horsepower engine, electric windlass with 33-kilogram anchor and 80 meters of chain, composite hardtop with windscreen, and full canvas enclosure. Service records from 2023 document routine maintenance and propulsion system overhaul.
