The Lagoon 42 is a fiberglass catamaran powered by twin Yammer diesel engines of 114 hp each. Designed by VPLP, the hull combines practical layout with clean lines across its 42-foot length and 25-foot beam. The design has proven popular, with over 1,000 examples built worldwide.
The boat accommodates four cabins and four heads, all with electric toilets. The cockpit features a bimini top and peripheral canvas enclosure. A Highfield tender measuring 3.4 meters with a 20 hp Honda outboard is included. Below deck, the accommodation is arranged to maximize comfort and usable space across the twin hulls.
Recent additions and replacements include four 170 Ah batteries, 600 watts of solar panels, and engine batteries, all installed in 2022. B&G electronics comprise a 2020 radar, autopilot, and 12-foot plotter. The systems are completed by a 2000-watt inverter and watermaker. The twin propellers are three-bladed folding type, and the engines show 2,200 hours of running time.
