This 2017 Leopard 40 is a fiberglass catamaran with a four-cabin, two-head layout. Powered by twin Yanmar 3YM30AE diesel engines producing 29 horsepower each, the yacht spans 40 feet in length with a 22-foot beam. She has an extended cruising range and a top speed of approximately 7.8 knots.
The interior accommodates four cabins with two full heads. The boat is outfitted with substantial power and water systems: 2,400 watts of solar panels mounted on a custom arch, a 1,500 amp-hour lithium house battery bank, and a Seawater Pro portable watermaker. Climate control includes two Dometic 16BTU air-conditioning units with reverse-cycle capability, and a Northern Lights 6-kilowatt marine generator. The galley features a Nuware two-burner induction cooktop with air fryer oven, plus a new 2025 Magma grill. Refrigeration includes a Vitrifrigo combo unit and an additional Dometic CFX chest freezer.
Navigation and communication systems center on a Raymarine 12-inch Axiom chartplotter with autopilot, VHF, and integrated wind and depth transducers. A Doppler radar and AIS700 are installed, along with a Fusion stereo system. Other notable equipment includes a Quick anchor windlass with remote control, feathering propellers, UV drinking-water filter, and custom helm and aft cockpit enclosures. A 2024 Highfield 340 aluminum-bottom dinghy with console and Honda outboard is included.
Recent work completed includes fresh bottom paint, saildrive service, engine service, and fiberglass touch-ups. An out-of-water survey is available.
