2017 Nautitech 46 Open

The 2017 Nautitech 46 Open is a fiberglass catamaran designed for cruising and entertaining. With a beam of nearly 25 feet, the boat delivers the interior volume characteristic of the platform. Power comes from two Volvo D1 diesel engines of 55 horsepower each, fitted with retractable three-blade bronze propellers and electronic controls. The engines have logged 1,360 hours of operation and are supported by dual 115-ampere alternators, gel service batteries, and engine batteries.

The boat accommodates six cabins and four heads, all with central shower facilities. The saloon features fixed and convertible tables, with an L-shaped galley equipped with a two-drawer refrigerator and freezer unit, electric sea-water pump, and hot-water heating system distributed throughout the accommodations and cockpit. Two additional berths occupy the forward peak sections. Deck equipment includes Lewmar hardware, electric windlass, lazy bag with lazy jacks, and a substantial teak cockpit table seating ten. A 3.4-meter Hightfield tender with a 20-horsepower Honda outboard is included.

Navigation and entertainment systems comprise Garmin autopilot, multifunction displays, VHF radio with AIS, GPS chartplotter, and radar. A Fusion marine audio system with Bluetooth and USB plays throughout the saloon and cockpit. Eight 100-watt solar panels, a Picolo 4 generator (140 hours use), and a 2,000-watt converter supply power alongside the battery bank. A 3-kilogram washing machine operates on 220 volts.

The sail plan includes a full-batten mainsail with three reefs, a self-tacking Solent jib, a 98-square-meter Code O, and a 130-square-meter asymmetric spinnaker. In 2025, the engines underwent revision, new service batteries were fitted in May, and antifouling was applied. Additional work including full engine service with saildrive seals is planned prior to delivery.
