This 2017 Outremer 51 is built around the distinctive inverted bow design and delivers the performance and robustness expected of the brand. Twin 80-horsepower Volvo Penta diesel engines provide cruising at 7.5 knots and a maximum speed of 9 knots. The hull uses infusion fiberglass construction with carbon bulkheads and a carbon bimini, reinforced for long-distance cruising. The design—by Barreau Neuman—emphasizes stiffness and strength through carbon structural elements and a rigid build.

Four cabins and two heads accommodate extended voyages or permanent ownership. The galley is well appointed, and full air conditioning serves all spaces. Below deck, the boat carries a watermaker, generator, and electric dive compressor. Raymarine electronics manage navigation and onboard systems. Trampolines span the bridgedeck, and quality helm stations with carbon tillers support hands-on sailing.

In late 2025, the boat underwent comprehensive servicing: full engine and generator overhaul, new antifouling, exterior polish and gelcoat refurbishment, fresh trampolines, and electronics and network upgrades. These works position the yacht for continued cruising operations.
