The 2017 Ranger Tugs R-27 is a 27-foot diesel-powered trawler built on a semi-displacement fiberglass hull. Powered by a single Volvo D3 200 HP diesel engine, it cruises at 13 knots with a maximum speed of 24 knots, delivering the fuel efficiency and reliable performance the design is known for. Bow and stern thrusters, an electric windlass, and wide side decks make the boat manageable for small crews, while the helm offers excellent visibility and control.
The interior layout includes three cabins with a forward berth, convertible dinette, and mid-berth sleeping and storage area. A single enclosed head with shower serves the accommodations, and a fully equipped galley supports extended cruising. Large windows throughout the salon create an open feel and good sightlines while underway.
A newer color-matched camper enclosure protects and extends the cockpit year-round. The boat is fitted with diesel heat, a shore power system, four batteries in three banks, and a Garmin electronics package. The boat has been recently detailed and well maintained.
