This 2017 Sea Ray SLX 400 is a 39-foot fiberglass cruiser powered by dual MerCruiser engines producing 760 horsepower. As the first hull in the SLX 400 series, the boat has been maintained with care and used seasonally. The teak decking was replaced last season to refresh the appearance. The design features a hydraulic centerline swim platform, dual propellers for improved handling, and a fold-out swim platform. Navigation and control are supported by Axius joystick control for precise maneuvering, twin 12-inch Raymarine displays on the Digital Dash, Dynamic Running Surface technology for automatic trim optimization, and Quiet Ride noise reduction technology.
The social spaces are generous throughout. The bow includes forward touring seats with armrests and cup holders, along with additional forward benches around a convertible bow table that doubles as a sunpad. A retractable shade covers the bow area. The mid-deck features shaded seating options with retractable awnings for weather protection.
Below deck, the cabin accommodates overnighting with a queen berth in the aft section and a forward bunk that converts from a gathering space into a wide sleeping area. An enclosed head and optional flatscreen TVs complete the overnight amenities. The layout prioritizes both social gathering and extended cruising capability.
