This 2017 St. Francis 50 MK 2 is a 50-foot fiberglass catamaran built for serious offshore cruising. The boat is powered by twin 114-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines and carries a Category A CE rating for ocean crossing. She was custom built with an extended list of upgrades that reflect owner experience and global cruising priorities, including dual Spectra water makers with separate 180-gallon tanks for redundancy, a Mastervolt-designed 24-volt lithium electrical system, and universal shore power capability to run 60 or 50 Hz equipment at docks worldwide.
The interior features four cabins and four heads with upgraded headliners and veneers throughout. Deck systems are optimized for short-handed operation: electric furling on the headsail, reversing electric winches run from the cockpit, and a comprehensive sail package that includes code sails and spinnakers with furlers and snuffers. The boat carries a Reckmann electric furling system for the jib.
Safety gear includes an offshore life raft, spare rudder, and drogue. A Highfield 390 RIB tender with a 40-horsepower Yamaha motor rounds out the package. The boat cruises at 7.5 knots and has recently been launched, commissioned, and prepared for the season.
