The Xquisite X5 is a 51-foot fiberglass catamaran built in 2017, designed for serious offshore cruising. Twin Yanmar 4JH80 diesel engines deliver 160 horsepower each, with a cruising speed of 7.5 knots and maximum speed of 9 knots. The boat has been extensively used for ocean passages and extended cruising, with a comprehensive refit history including a new SD60 saildrive fitted to starboard in June 2025 and MaxProp three-blade feathering propellers installed in June 2024. Engines were serviced in June 2025.
The power and energy systems are built for extended offshore independence. A Mastervolt LiFePO4 lithium house bank totals 1,080 amp-hours, paired with Mastervolt inverter and charging systems. Solar power generation comprises 2,400 watts across three controllers, supplemented by a Fisher Panda 12-kilowatt generator. A Cruise RO watermaker produces 40 gallons per hour. Navigation equipment includes a Garmin 7616xsv suite with radar, autopilot, and forward-looking sonar, plus ICOM SSB radio and Iridium GO! satellite communications.
Below deck, three king cabins and three electric heads provide accommodation for extended voyages. The galley includes Bosch appliances, Vitrifrigo refrigeration, and a dishwasher. Five reverse-cycle air conditioning units serve the saloon and cabins. Headroom throughout is generous for a catamaran of this size.
The sail plan features a North Sails 100 square-meter mainsail fitted in October 2024, an 83 square-meter screecher, and a self-tacking headsail, all managed by Harken furlers and electric winches. Hull maintenance was completed with antifouling applied in June 2025.
