2018 Fountaine Pajot Saona 47

The 2018 Fountaine Pajot Saona 47 is a fiberglass catamaran built for serious cruising. At 47 feet with a 25-foot beam, she carries two Volvo D2-60 diesel engines and holds 940 gallons of fuel and 700 gallons of water. The three-cabin, three-head layout places the owner's suite with ensuite bath to starboard, while two ensuite guest cabins occupy the port hull. The salon features an island galley, and the extensive deck space includes an expansive cockpit and foredeck relaxation area.

Electrical systems have received major upgrades: a newly installed 2,380-watt solar array with four Solbian flexible panels (November 2025), a Victron 800-amp lithium battery bank, and an 8,000-watt inverter provide substantial independent power. A Victron Cerbo GX touchscreen monitors the system, while cockpit charging stations were added for 12V and USB devices. The watermaker received a new low-pressure pump in 2024 and membrane service in 2022; a UV-filtered drinking tap serves the galley. A Dometic 55-liter chest freezer supports provisioning, and interior cushion foam was replaced in 2022 along with a custom master cabin mattress in 2023.

Rigging and sail upgrades include new mainsail and headsail with UV cover (2024), new shrouds with Blue Wave mechanical terminals, and nearly all running rigging replaced. A custom hard-top helm enclosure with integrated lighting was added. On deck, a Quick electric windlass (2024) governs the re-galvanized anchor and chain. Hulls were sanded to gelcoat in 2023, bottom-painted in December 2024 with Petit Trinidad XSR, and PropSpeed applied in 2024. New rudder bearings, starter batteries, and an outboard hydraulic hoist complete recent mechanical work. A Takacat 380 inflatable tender with Mercury 9.9 engine (2024) is included. Original equipment includes Garmin dual chartplotters with autopilot and radar, AIS 800, air conditioning throughout, a washing machine, and comprehensive safety gear.
