2018 Hallberg-Rassy 48 MkII

This 2018 Hallberg-Rassy 48 MkII is a cruising yacht built with fiberglass hull and teak interior joinery. The boat features a Volvo Penta 110 hp diesel engine paired with a Gori three-blade propeller with overdrive, plus a bow thruster. The rig carries a hydraulic roller mast and roller furling jib, roll mainsail with vertical battens, and a full inventory of working and light-air sails including a 140% genoa, storm jib, and furling gennaker with carbon whisker poles.

The layout comprises three cabins and two heads. The main saloon features a centerline sofa with two armchairs and a small table, finished in leather. The forward cabin is a V-berth, while the aft stateroom has a centerline bunk, port and starboard sofas, and a dressing table. The starboard upper cabin contains a double bed. Both aft spaces have opening portholes. A large pantry to port includes an extra refrigerator, and there is a wine cellar below the cabin sole.

Deck equipment includes a hardtop with teak roof and integrated lighting, a bimini top with closing windows, and opening saloon windows. Electric winches—45EST primary and 65EST genua units—handle sheet and halyard work. Navigation systems center on Raymarine electronics: a p70 autopilot with Whitlock drive, multiple i70 displays, a 24-inch 4kW color radar with GPS, AIS Class B transponder, and a Sailor 150 satellite system. Power comes from dual battery banks (12V and 24V) charged by a 24V/110A alternator and Mastervolt chargers, backed by a Whisper 10 diesel generator. Additional features include a desalination plant, electric fresh-water toilet, heating system with cockpit outlet, underwater platform shower, and a 6-person liferaft. A carbon gangway and RIB tender with electric outboard round out the inventory.
