The Fountaine Pajot FP48 is a 49-foot catamaran built from composite and powered by twin 90-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines. The design balances open-ocean capability with easy handling by reduced crews. A three-meter-wide opening, large cabin windows, and forward pass-through create strong visual connection between interior and sea. The helm station sits amidships to centralize control and maximize sightlines.
The boat comes in two layouts. The Maestro configuration offers three cabins with flexible forward space—a large en-suite bath, baby cabin, or workshop. The Quintet configuration, shown in the specs, provides five cabins: four doubles facing outward and one with twin bunks suitable for children or crew. The main saloon accommodates an expanded galley island with storage, and a long settee for the full crew. Ten heads serve all accommodations.
Exterior spaces include multiple lounging areas: an aft daybed facing the horizon, wide cockpit settees, and forward sunbathing platforms. An optional flybridge adds upper-deck seating and sunpads. This catamaran is available in a hybrid electric version (ODSea+) developed internally by Fountaine Pajot to optimize renewable energy and cruising autonomy.
