2018 JPK 1180

The 2018 JPK 1180 is a 38.7-foot performance cruising yacht built by JPK Composites to a design by Jacques Valéra. The hull and deck are constructed using Airex and balsa-cored polyester infusion sandwich methods, with twin rudders and a lead-iron fin keel. A single Volvo Penta D1-30 diesel engine with shaft drive provides auxiliary power, fed by a 42-liter fuel tank. The boat carries an IRC rating of 1.100 as of December 2022.

The yacht features a comprehensive high-performance sailing package specified with North Sails. The carbon mast and boom were replaced in 2019 and 2023 respectively, with a stiffer forestay fitted in June 2022. A new high-performance halyard package was installed in August 2022, and all running rigging was replaced at the same time. The sail inventory includes multiple iterations from 2018 through 2022, encompassing mainsails with reef systems, jibs, headsails, spinnakers, and storm sails in various weights and configurations, all built to high specification.

Deck equipment centers on eight Harken Performa winches, Spinlock clutches, and KZ furlers with integrators. A carbon tiller with adjustable Spinlock extension provides steering control. The boat includes transverse genoa tracks with inhaulers, a full Harken turning block package, fenders, and warps. A comprehensive inventory of spare cordage is maintained to specification.

The yacht sleeps accommodations with one head. Anti-slip flooring covers the deck and cockpit areas.
