2021 Aluminum Cruiser SI ICEMINT 40

The SI ICEMINT 40 is a 2021 aluminum cruising sailboat designed for extended offshore passage. Built to modern lines from a 2017 hull design, it combines performance sailing with robust seaworthiness. The boat is engineered to allow grounding on keel and rudders without damage, a practical feature for exploring remote anchorages. A single 50 hp Nanni diesel engine provides auxiliary power.

The interior layout comprises three cabins and a single head, centered around a large, naturally lit saloon with dual forward-facing windows. The saloon includes 400 watts of solar panel charging and benefits from extensive headroom and visibility. The cockpit is finished in iroko wood. A hydraulically actuated centerboard and bow thruster complete the sailing package, with a 16.5-meter Sparccraft mast and full B&G electronics suite for navigation and monitoring.

This boat represents the collaboration of naval architects Raison, known for modern offshore racing design, and François Lucas, bringing cruising comfort and livability. The design brief called for accommodating a crew of six across isolated passages, combining sailing efficiency with the internal volume and sea-kindliness needed for extended cruising.
