The 2018 Nautitech 46 Open is a composite catamaran powered by twin 100 hp Volvo diesel engines. Built for extended cruising, it spans 45 feet in length with a 25-foot beam, providing the stability and spacious deck layout characteristic of the platform. The boat is currently configured as a four-cabin layout with two heads and full accommodations across both hulls.
The starboard hull holds a forward cabin and a spacious aft cabin with panoramic portlight and side opening, each with generous storage. The port hull mirrors this arrangement. The main saloon is large and open, featuring a chart table, settee, galley with twin refrigerators, a separate cooler, three-burner gas stove with oven, and a microwave. Webasto heating serves the main saloon and cabins. Two separate shower compartments and additional heads are distributed throughout, with full water systems including 600 litres of fresh water tankage and a 100-litre-per-hour seawater desalination unit.
The rig includes a 76 square meter mainsail with lazy jack and recently replaced lazy bag, a self-tacking jib, and a 130 square meter gennaker with new boom and new deck stacker. Navigation and autopilot systems are Raymarine B&G electronics, including plotter, wind instrument, depth sounder, speedlog, radar, and hydraulic autopilot. Twin electric winches operate the main and jib from the helm.
Equipment includes 540 watts of solar panels, a 350-watt Victron converter, underwater LED lighting, a 3.4-metre Highfield tender with 6 hp Honda outboard, primary anchor with 80 metres of chain, secondary anchor, electric windlass, through-deck shower, swimming ladder, and liferaft rated for six persons. The Volvo engines have approximately 3,000 hours logged and new sail drive seals fitted for 2025.
