The 2018 Ranger Tugs R-31 CB is a 31-foot diesel trawler built on a fiberglass hull. Powered by a Volvo D4 300 hp engine, it achieves a cruise speed around 16 knots. The boat balances extended cruising capability with trailerable design—the flybridge retracts to enable transport without sacrificing the vessel's full-featured construction. Bow and stern thrusters provide easy maneuvering in close quarters.
The R-31 CB features dual helm stations with full electronic controls, one on the flybridge and one below in the pilot house. The command bridge layout allows operation from either location. A starboard side door at the lower helm provides direct access to the side decks for line handling. Foredeck space includes convertible seating and a table suitable for entertaining or relaxing at anchor or underway.
The interior accommodates six with two staterooms: a forward stateroom featuring an island berth with en suite head and shower, and a midship stateroom with a double berth and day head. A dinette sits in the main cabin area. The galley and lower helm are positioned to maximize interior space. The cockpit wraps around the aft deck with fixed seating, plus foldaway gunwale seating that retracts when not needed. Additional entertaining space is available on the expanded flybridge and foredeck.
This example is equipped with factory options throughout. Bow and stern thrusters come standard, along with the Volvo diesel engine and electronics package.
