2018 RM Yachts RM 1070

The 2018 RM 1070 is a 35-foot cruising sailboat built by RM Yachts in La Rochelle to a design by Lombard Design. The hull is constructed from epoxy-laminated plywood, a method that delivers structural rigidity and thermal insulation while maximizing interior volume. The hull form features a pronounced sheer and hard chines that reduce heeling and optimize comfort in seaway conditions. A carbon mast is fitted, and the sail wardrobe includes a mainsail and genoa in North Sails Hydranet, a storm jib, and a code zero on a furler.

The boat is equipped for extended cruising. Power comes from a Volvo Penta D2-40 diesel inboard engine with 950 hours of running time. A 1000-watt electric windlass, full Raymarine electronics, and Webasto air heating are installed. The electrical system comprises two 110-amp service batteries from 2024 and a 375-watt Victron converter from 2025. Solar panels—two 100-watt units mounted on the transom arch—were added in 2023.

The interior arrangement includes two cabins and six heads. The boat is ready for sea and has been maintained in careful condition, having spent time cruising and racing in the Mediterranean.
