2018 RM Yachts RM 1070

This 2018 RM Yachts RM 1070 is a 35-foot wooden-hulled cruising sailboat built for extended offshore passages. The dual-keel design provides stability and shallow-draft capability across varied conditions. Powered by a single Volvo D2-40 diesel engine with 1,200 hours on the clock, the boat carries 108 litres of fuel and features a three-blade propeller. The rig includes Dyform wire, triple-reefed mainsail, jib, working staysail, and asymmetrical spinnaker with Facnor FX2500 furler.

The interior layout comprises two cabins and one head, with panoramic windows that flood the accommodation with natural light. Comfort systems include Aeroheat cabin heating, a Katadyn PUR 40E desalinator, hot water via Cumulus 25L unit, and a 2024 Dometic refrigerator. Fresh water storage is split between two 145-litre stainless steel tanks; black water capacity is 40 litres. Cabin mattresses are high-quality, and all openings have sun protection.

Navigation and safety equipment is comprehensive: Raymarine autopilot, GPS, and AIS; Quantum radar; Icom VHF; Navtex receiver; and a recently serviced Seasafe liferaft. The electrical system runs four 110Ah Victron batteries, charged via shore power, Aero 4GEN wind generator, and three 95W solar panels with MPPT regulation. A 1000W electric windlass, 70-metre anchor, and 230 litre inflatable tender with six-horsepower outboard complete the cruising setup. Exterior amenities include a cockpit shower, table, and a 2025 bimini with extension panels.
