2018 Viking 37 Billfish

The 2018 Viking 37 Billfish is a sportfishing yacht built in the tradition of classic day boats, combining open-water design with modern construction and performance. Twin Cummins diesel engines producing 1,100 horsepower deliver a 34-knot top speed and cruise efficiently at 26 knots with a 320-mile range. The fiberglass hull features solid construction with cored materials, premium vinyl ester resin, and a 12.8-degree transom deadrise optimized for rough water handling.

The cockpit spans 86 square feet and is purpose-built for fishing, with a bait freezer, tackle storage, insulated fish boxes, a transom live well, and a lift-gate door. The open salon provides weather protection and includes a U-shaped dinette with a convertible hi-lo table that transforms into a bunk, plus a cushioned lounge opposite. A lower helm station and flying bridge command center offer dual steering positions, with the upper helm featuring a center console, power-assisted hydraulic steering, and joystick control capability. A three-sided Costa Clear enclosure and hardtop protect the flying bridge.

Below deck, the layout accommodates a queen berth in the bow with optional over-under configuration, high-gloss teak joinery, maple-lined hanging lockers, hull-side cabinetry, and a fishing rod shelf. The galley features Corian countertops, stainless-steel sink, electric cooktop, and microwave-convection oven with drawer-style refrigeration. The air-conditioned head includes a fiberglass shower stall and vanity with Corian countertop.

Recent maintenance includes new aftercoolers in 2025, a 1,000-hour engine service, and bottom paint applied for June 2026. The yacht is equipped with upgraded electronics including triple Garmin displays with water temperature overlay, 48-mile open array radar, dual VHF radios, AIS, autopilot, FLIR night vision, Starlink, engine room cameras, Seakeeper stabilization, electric windlass with integrated joystick, and outriggers.
