Oz is a 2019 Bali 4.1 catamaran built in fiberglass with a 40-foot length and 22-foot beam. She is powered by twin Yanmar 3JH40 diesel engines rated at 40 horsepower each, running approximately 1,600 hours and fitted with Flexofold folding propellers. The boat carries a US flag and was owned from new by a licensed captain with a marine engineering background.
The three-cabin, two-head layout provides accommodation for cruising. Navigation and control systems include a full Raymarine electronics suite with dual chartplotters (12 and 7 inch Axiom units), Quantum radar, AIS receiver, Evolution autopilot, and VHF radio with helm and cabin displays. Power management relies on Victron Energy components: MPPT solar controller, MultiPlus inverter, and BMV-700 monitor. Generation comes from 600 watts of walk-on solar panels and a 9-kilowatt Cummins/Onan generator with 512 hours of use. Freshwater production is handled by a Rainman AC watermaker at 37 gallons per hour, with air conditioning throughout all three cabins via Webasto units.
The rig carries a 150% CDX07 screecher from Ballard Sails, with standing and running rigging inspected by a qualified rigger in November 2023. Additional equipment includes a Lofrans windlass, 44-pound anchor with 240 feet of chain, and Starlink connectivity. A 2017 West Marine RIB-275 tender with Mercury 9.9-horsepower outboard and 52 engine hours is mounted on stern davits.
The yacht recently completed a two-year offshore passage covering roughly 20,000 nautical miles through Central America, the Caribbean, and Florida. Standing and running rigging are original to the boat.
