2019 Beneteau Oceanis 38.1

The 2019 Beneteau Oceanis 38.1 is a modern cruising sailboat built around a balanced hull design and capable sail plan. Her 38-foot length and 13-foot beam create a practical platform that's spacious enough for extended cruising yet manageable for a small crew. The yacht features a wide beam with hard chines carried aft, generating substantial interior volume, and a safe, relaxed cockpit layout with a straightforward deck setup.

The accommodation plan includes two cabins and one head with a separate shower. The interior, designed by Nauta Design, emphasizes open sightlines and natural light. The forward owner's cabin spans the full beam and is accessed through removable double doors. The galley is arranged in an L-shape along the saloon, optimizing social space. A secondary freshwater tank brings total capacity to approximately 112 gallons, and the rotomolded diesel tank holds 34 gallons.

Power comes from a Yanmar 3YM30AE, a 29 hp three-cylinder naturally aspirated diesel connected to a saildrive with a three-bladed MaxProp feathering propeller; a spare fixed-blade prop is included. The engine had 338 hours at last reporting. The yacht carries air conditioning throughout, an electric windlass, and AGM batteries. A suite of B&G electronics includes a Zeus 3 seven-inch chartplotter, Class-B AIS transceiver, autopilot, and an upgraded AirMar DST 810 TriSensor for depth and speed data.

The original roller-furling mast was replaced with traditional slab reefing main and a custom Ullman asymmetrical spinnaker with full hardware. Rigging upgrades include a double bow roller and an electric winch on the port side. Deck equipment encompasses jack lines, a Lifesling system, an Easy Reboard ladder, and a deck work light. The cockpit features a teak table, premium canvas dodger and bimini, a manually opening transom with gas assist that converts to a swim platform, and an Edson outboard motor rail mount. A new custom stack pack with trolley zipper was installed in 2025, and bottom paint with Pettit Trinidad Pro anti-fouling was applied the same year.
