The 2019 Oceanis 38.1 is a 38-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat built on an extended waterline for stability and speed. She features a Yanmar diesel engine, twin wheels, and a bow thruster for enhanced maneuverability. The deck is well-appointed with an electric windlass, split backstay, electric Harken self-tailing winches, and in-mast and furling genoa sails. A custom bimini top, dodger, and side spray panels (all new in 2023) provide weather protection. She comes equipped with a tender—a Highfield 10'2" aluminum RIB with a 15 hp Tohatsu outboard.
Below deck, the boat offers two cabins and one head across a thoughtfully laid-out interior. The forward cabin has double doors and opens to a comfortable saloon with a port settee and starboard navigation station. The aft cabin features a generous berth. Light maple cabinetry and numerous windows throughout create an airy feel. The head is separate from a dedicated shower compartment.
The galley includes stainless steel fixtures, a propane stove with oven, a 12VDC refrigerator with freezer, microwave, and hot and cold pressure water. Total water storage capacity is approximately 104 gallons. Electrical systems comprise 12VDC and 110VAC services with dual 30-amp shore power connections, a 40-amp battery charger, and LED interior and navigation lighting. Dual reverse-cycle air-conditioning units with digital controls maintain cabin climate. Recent work includes a new sail drive, replaced through-hull fittings, water pump replacement, a new starter battery, and a full complement electronics package with autopilot and Bluetooth and GPS functionality.
