2019 Fountaine Pajot Astrea 42 Catamaran

The 2019 Fountaine Pajot Astréa 42 is a fiberglass catamaran built for serious cruising. At 41 feet long with a 22-foot beam, she combines the stability and space of a multihull with thoughtful systems designed for extended passages and liveaboard life. Twin Volvo Penta D2-50 diesel engines (100 hp each, with 2,000 hours) provide reliable propulsion, supported by a robust Cummins Onan 9 kW generator and multiple charging sources.

The Owner's Version layout offers three cabins, each with a queen berth and en-suite head. The master cabin features an oversized shower and additional wired infrastructure. The salon includes a hydraulic-lift dining table that converts to an additional queen berth. Interior amenities include a Garmin 8612 chartplotter with full Garmin instrumentation, Starlink, an LG microwave oven, Isotherm refrigeration and freezer units, an outdoor cockpit refrigerator, and four Dometic HVAC units for climate control. The full canvas enclosure with integrated screen panels extends from the bow aft.

Electrical systems have been substantially upgraded with four RELiON 300Ah lithium batteries, a Victron Energy system (including Cerbo GX, SmartShunt, and MultiPlus inverter/charger), and a high-capacity solar array of five 400-watt panels. Additional charging sources include shore power and separate Orion alternators on each engine. A Spectra Newport 400 watermaker supplies fresh water. Deck features include a fully battened mainsail, roller furling jib with custom jammers, gennaker, and a brand-new parasailor. The cockpit offers an aft dining table, upgraded cushions, and a carbon helm wheel. Safety equipment includes an eight-person Viking liferaft. The boat has never been chartered and has been meticulously maintained throughout.
