The 2019 Lagoon 42 is a fiberglass catamaran built on a design by VPLP Design and Patrick le Quément, combining purposeful sailing performance with comfortable cruising capability. Twin Yanmar diesel engines of 114 horsepower each power the boat, which spans 42 feet in length with a 25-foot beam. The hull design reflects thoughtful construction and expert craftsmanship, offering balance and responsive handling under sail.
The interior accommodates six cabins across the twin hulls, with four heads serving the space. The main salon features a U-shaped settee and galley on the port side, fitted with a stove, double stainless steel sink, and oven. Additional U-shaped seating occupies the cockpit. Double berths are positioned fore and aft in the port hull and aft in the starboard hull. The design by Nauta incorporates contemporary woodwork throughout, improved natural light, and functional privacy for each cabin.
The deck layout prioritizes ease of movement. Two steps connect the swim platform to the cockpit, which is sheltered, well-ventilated, and ergonomically arranged. Teak decking covers the cockpit. A Navigare Yachting equipment package is installed, including B&G navigation systems, autopilot, VHF, AIS transceiver, and Fusion stereo. Harken 46.2 electric winches handle the sheets. Sails include a square-top mainsail and furling jib fitted in September 2025, with an Aramid Code 0 sail and pole on a Seldon C45 furler. Additional features include a Webasto heater, underwater spot lights, and Jabsco electric toilets.
