2023 Stealth X Series 43

The 2023 Stealth X Series 43 is a composite catamaran designed by Alan Carwardine and built in Phuket. This sailing cruiser combines a streamlined hull form with dual 60 hp Suzuki gasoline outboards for auxiliary power, delivering speeds up to 8 knots at full throttle and efficient cruising around 5 knots. The beam spans 21 feet across its twin hulls, providing substantial stability and interior volume.

The layout accommodates three cabins with flexible sleeping arrangements. The main saloon features expansive front-opening windows and aft folding doors that allow natural ventilation. A forward steering station provides shelter and 350-degree visibility for weather protection. The aft cockpit converts into a comfortable double berth when needed, while each hull contains a single sleeping berth for guests or family. One head serves the accommodation.

Natural light and airflow characterize the interior design, with high-quality lightweight finishes throughout the compact, versatile spaces. Engines are positioned away from living areas to minimize noise during powered passages. All sail control lines lead aft for efficient handling, and twin tillers offer responsive steering control from the aft cockpit. The catamaran was recently competitive in regattas, demonstrating her sailing performance when conditions allow.
