This 2019 Nautitech 40 Open is a fiberglass catamaran designed around an open-plan layout that flows seamlessly from cockpit to saloon. The design is known for its light displacement-to-sail-area ratio, delivering strong performance while carrying substantial load and storage capacity. At 39 feet long with a 23-foot beam, the boat provides the stability and spaciousness characteristic of the platform.
The yacht accommodates four cabins and is powered by twin Volvo D2 diesel engines of 40 hp each, paired with folding three-blade Volvo propellers. Two 220-litre fuel tanks and comprehensive battery capacity—660 amp-hours of service batteries installed in 2023, plus separate engine batteries—support extended cruising. A 105-litre-per-hour watermaker, three 300-watt solar panels, and a 2000-watt converter enable independence and comfort offshore. Water storage totals 430 litres across two tanks.
Navigation and control are handled by Raymarine B&G electronics: three Zeus 9-inch chartplotters, Triton multifunction displays, autopilot, VHF with AIS, and a mast-mounted camera. Sail handling includes an electric Quick Aries windlass, Lewmar electric and manual winches, and a Facnor furler with 70-square-meter gennaker. The boat carries a 30-kilogram Spade anchor with 60 metres of chain, plus secondary mooring gear. A Highfield tender with 9.8 hp Tohatsu outboard and full safety equipment are included.
Recent maintenance has been extensive: exhaust elbows, engine mounts, shaft seals, propeller seals, transmission cables, and helm cables were all replaced. Engine servicing including oil, filters, belts, and impellers was completed in February 2025, with antifouling applied in March 2025.
