The Scout 420 LXF is a 42-foot composite-hulled sportfish powered by quad Mercury outboards producing 1,400 hp total. The hull features epoxy infusion for structural rigidity and reduced weight. The boat cruises above 30 knots with a top speed around 60 knots.
The cockpit layout combines fishing and entertainment amenities. The bow has cushioned seating with an electrically actuated table that recesses into the sole. Two rows of helm seating include three captain's seats forward and aft-facing seats on the mezzanine deck. The leaning post includes an electric drawer cooler, summer kitchen with grill and sink, and stow-away swivel barstools. Standard equipment includes twin 40-gallon live wells, transom and port boarding doors, two in-deck fish boxes, powder-coated hardtop with curved glass, joystick, windlass, generator, air conditioning, Seakeeper gyrostabilizer, underwater LED lighting, and retractable awning.
Below deck, the cabin holds twin forward berths with drop-down table, galley, and enclosed head with shower stall. All exterior cushions are one year old, and electronics have been recently updated with relief shading.
