2020 Custom Strike 18

This 2020 Custom Strike 18 is a Richard Woods design trimaran built for responsive, single-handed sailing. The open deck layout prioritizes ease of handling, with a hull constructed from fiberglass and epoxy-covered Okoume marine plywood over Douglas fir framing. Low aspect ratio keels allow the boat to navigate shallow water and beach easily, while the Quattro 16 amas outriggers were purpose-built for this design.

The boat offers comfortable deck space for a small crew and includes an additional storage compartment integrated into the main hull. Spars and rigging were engineered and built by US Spars, while the sails—a 150 square foot main and 50 square foot jib—come from UK Sailmakers with standard rigging. The boat has been used only on fresh water across three sailing seasons.

The trimaran is trailered on a Magic Tilt aluminum trailer, making it convenient for transport and storage.
