2020 Fountaine Pajot Astrea 42 Catamaran

The 2020 Fountaine Pajot Astrea 42 is a fiberglass catamaran built for serious cruising. This Owners Version features the Maestro layout with a spacious owner's hull to starboard containing a king-size bed, walk-in shower, generous storage, and private head. The port hull houses two queen guest cabins, each with en-suite bathrooms—one with a separate shower, the other with a combined wet head. The 42-foot beam spans 23 feet, providing substantial interior volume and stability.

The saloon offers 360-degree views with ample natural light and a full navigation station. A U-shaped galley is well-appointed with three independent fridge/freezer units, gas oven, stovetop, pizza oven, plancha grill, and air fryer. The cockpit is shaded with wraparound seating and a cockpit table. The top deck features dual sunloungers and panoramic views, while forward areas include a cockpit and large trampolines for additional outdoor space.

Twin Volvo D2-50 diesel engines with saildrives provide propulsion, accompanied by a Yamaha 25HP outboard on the tender. The catamaran is equipped for extended voyaging with 1,300 watts of solar, a Victron lithium house bank, Victron Multiplus inverter/charger, Cerbo GX monitoring, and a 13.5kW Onan generator. Air conditioning runs throughout, supported by 240V/50Hz AC and 12V DC systems with shore transformer compatibility. Electronics include Victron and Garmin systems with autopilot, radar, AIS, and multiple multifunction displays.

Recent upgrades include new anchor chain, trampolines, and serviced generator, watermakers, and engines. The catamaran comes outfitted with tools, spares, safety equipment, and cruising gear.
