SAMOGITIA is a 2020 Hallberg-Rassy 57, a modern bluewater cruiser designed by Germán Frers. Built from fiberglass, she combines the yard's reputation for safety and seaworthiness with contemporary design optimized for small-crew handling. A Volvo Penta D4 diesel engine of 175 horsepower provides propulsion via an AquaDrive shaft system, supported by bow and stern thrusters for precision maneuvering. Twin rudders and twin independent autopilot systems enhance control and redundancy.
Sail handling is comprehensive and automated. The aluminum furling mast features hydraulic in-mast furling and outhaul, while the genoa furling is electric. The sail plan includes a mainsail, genoa, removable cutter jib, two Code 0 sails, and a gennaker, all managed through electric winches. On deck, flush hatches and a generous sun deck with bimini provide comfort. Teak extends across the deck, cockpit, and a fold-down bathing platform. Storage totals approximately 10,000 litres across forward and aft compartments, with diesel capacity of 1,050 litres and fresh water of 1,030 litres.
Below deck, the interior is finished in light mahogany with a silk finish. Three cabins offer double berths, plus an additional berth in the mid cabin. Two heads are fitted with electric toilets. The saloon features an L-shaped sofa, two armchairs, and a sofa with custom backrest; a 50-inch retractable television is integrated discreetly. Air conditioning cools the interior. The galley is fully equipped for extended cruising, with a Force 10 electric stove, three top-loading refrigerator-freezer units, a front-opening refrigerator, and a washer-dryer in the aft head.
The yacht was delivered in 2020 and has been sailed during four summer seasons only, with consistent indoor winter storage. Navigation and communication systems are handled through Raymarine equipment. An Onan 17.5kW generator supports a substantial battery bank for onboard power and charging.
