2020 Lagoon 42

The 2020 Lagoon 42 is a fiberglass catamaran measuring 42 feet with a 25-foot beam, built in Bordeaux by Lagoon CNB to the Owner's Version layout. Twin Yanmar 4JH57 diesel engines deliver 57 horsepower each, with approximately 1,400 hours on each engine. The hull employs a GRP sandwich construction with balsa core. Twin saildrives power folding bronze propellers, and the yacht carries full sail inventory including a square-top mainsail, genoa on a Facnor furling system, and an asymmetric gennaker added in 2022.

The Owner's Version provides three cabins and three heads across two pontoons. The starboard pontoon houses a dedicated owner's suite with a double berth, separate work area with desk, and a large ensuite bathroom featuring an electric toilet, basin, and separate shower. The port pontoon contains two double cabins, each with its own private head. The central grand salon opens through sliding glass doors to a fully covered aft deck with fixed hardtop and side enclosures, accommodating multiple seating areas and a sofa that seats six. The galley features a three-burner gas stove with oven, refrigerator, freezer, and substantial storage.

The boat is equipped with comprehensive systems for extended cruising. Power comes from 1,200 Ah of Victron lithium batteries upgraded in 2025, with a 5 kW inverter/charger and 1,050 watts of solar panels. Navigation and autopilot systems are Raymarine B&G Zeus 3 with radar and AIS. A watermaker produces 100 liters per hour. Recent work includes Coppercoat antifouling in 2023, Flexiteek decking throughout the cockpit and heads in 2023, full interior reupholstery in 2023, new anchor chain in 2025, and cabin fans in 2024. A Zodiac Cadet 330 RIB with Honda 15 hp outboard from 2023 is included with davits for launching. The yacht is CE Category A certified for eight persons and equipped with life raft and offshore safety gear.
