This 2020 Lagoon 42 Owners Version is a three-cabin catamaran built for extended cruising and liveaboard living. At 41 feet with a 25-foot beam, the fiberglass hull provides spacious accommodations across two hulls. The owners version dedicates one hull to the owner's quarters with private air conditioning, while the saloon and galley occupy the main living space, with two additional guest cabins. Three full heads serve the accommodation, with one offering an external shower option as well.

Systems throughout emphasize self-sufficiency and comfort for long passages. Power comes from a single Yanmar diesel engine with folding propeller. The boat carries an Aquaplumb watermaker rated at 210 liters per hour, two 300-liter freshwater tanks, and substantial energy storage via four 300-amp-hour lithium batteries paired with 2,256 watts of solar paneling and a 5-kilowatt inverter. A Quick boiler provides hot water, and the galley includes a gas oven and burners alongside a Westinghouse electric hotplate. Refrigeration spans a cockpit fridge, galley fridge, and three 60-liter freezer units. The owners cabin is air-conditioned; fans serve other spaces. A washer-dryer and comprehensive galley equipment round out the accommodation.

Navigation and sailing capabilities reflect serious ocean-cruising intent. Electronics include B&G Zeus3 displays at helm and nav stations, VHF, AIS, 4G radar, autopilot, and depth/speed/wind instruments. Starlink provides connectivity. The sail plan features a Code Zero on a furler, a 74-square-meter main, a 145-square-meter parasail, and self-furling jib. Deck gear includes electric and manual Harken winches, dual Quick windlasses, and over 110 meters of 10-millimeter chain with rode. A dinghy, outboard, and comprehensive safety inventory—including life raft, EPIRB, flares, and multiple life jackets—are aboard.

The boat was delivered new in 2021 and has seen continuous cruising use from New Zealand through the South Pacific, Australia, and Indonesia to Malaysia. The hull was last antifouled in November 2023. Spare parts for engine maintenance, bilge systems, and fresh-water circulation are stowed aboard.
