2020 Lagoon 50

The 2020 Lagoon 50 is a fiberglass catamaran designed as a modern evolution between the 450 and 52 models. Powered by twin 160-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines, the boat achieves a cruising speed of 6.95 knots. At nearly 49 feet long with a beam of over 26 feet, it combines substantial volume with a refined hull shape and contemporary rigging positioned to reduce pitching and enhance performance under sail.

The layout accommodates up to six cabins and five heads, with flexible interior configurations allowing owners to customize cabin count and arrangement. The saloon spans two levels, incorporating a galley that opens to the cockpit and a raised lounge area with panoramic vision. A retractable central windscreen connects interior and exterior spaces. Aft cabins feature extensive glazing and large portholes in bathrooms. Storage is integrated throughout, including under-floor tanks for fresh and black water, island berths, hanging lockers, and open shelving.

The exterior prioritizes comfort and functionality. A flybridge helm station with dual access overlooks a modular recreation area with concealed cushion storage. The open cockpit features large stern platforms for easy boarding and a modular dining zone with removable benches. A forward deck space serves dual purpose as seating or lounging. Vast storage compartments sit beneath most cockpit and flybridge seating.

The rigging employs a self-tacking jib, large forward triangle, shortened boom, and high-aspect-ratio mainsail. The aft mast placement reduces weight concentration and pitching while enabling a wider range of downwind sail options and simplified handling.
