The 2020 Leopard 40 is a modern catamaran built by South African builder Robertson & Caine, designed by Simonis and Voogd in collaboration with the builder's team. She combines the speed, agility, and blue-water performance of earlier Leopards with a larger hull volume and a completely redesigned interior layout. The galley sits forward, opening to the cabin sole with access to the forward platform, while a forward-facing settee frames panoramic views. Large sliding glass doors connect the saloon to the aft cockpit, creating a unified living space that blends interior and exterior areas.
The layout comprises three cabins and two heads. The owner's cabin occupies the starboard side, offering dedicated sleeping quarters. The open saloon plan encourages natural flow and conversation between guests, whether they are below or in the cockpit above, supported by the boat's generous beam of just over 21 feet.
Power comes from two Yanmar diesel engines rated at 58 horsepower each. The fiberglass hull and dual-engine system deliver the reliability and performance expected of a late-model catamaran designed for extended cruising.
