2020 Regal 42 Fly

The 2020 Regal 42 Flybridge is a purpose-built cruising yacht powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 diesel engines producing 435 horsepower each. The IPS pod drive system delivers quieter operation, improved fuel efficiency, and superior maneuverability compared to traditional shaft drives, with joystick docking control via Volvo's fly-by-wire system. Bennett hydraulic trim tabs with AutoTrim Pro automatically optimize running attitude across varying sea conditions.

The two-stateroom, two-head layout centers on a full-beam salon that opens to the aft cockpit through sliding glass doors. Both staterooms include Samsung flat-panel televisions and generous storage. The galley and heads are well-appointed for extended cruising. The flybridge features a full helm station with Garmin GPSMAP 8616xsv chartplotter, helm seating, wet bar, and dedicated 16,000 BTU air conditioning.

Navigation and electronics are comprehensive: dual Garmin GPSMAP 8616xsv chartplotters at the main helm and flybridge, Garmin GMR 24xHD radar, Garmin VHF radio, Volvo/Garmin Reactor 40 autopilot, and a Garmin fishfinder. The main salon and forward cabin are served by a 27,000 BTU Dometic MarinAir air-conditioning system across three thermostat zones; the flybridge has its own 16,000 BTU unit. An 11kW Kohler diesel generator, Dometic Sea Xchange 600Z watermaker producing 25 gallons per hour, and 50-amp shore power with retractable reel are fully installed and operational.

Deck features include a full-width swim platform with hydraulic lift, flybridge wet bar, cockpit sink with refrigerator and shower, bow sunning cushions, stainless steel rails and hardware, and a Lewmar 12V electric windlass with dual controls. Ground tackle consists of a stainless steel Delta-type anchor with chain rode.
