2020 World Cat 296 DC

The 2020 World Cat 296 DC is a dual-console catamaran built for serious offshore and inshore work. Twin Yamaha engines totaling 600 horsepower drive the boat to a maximum speed of 53 knots, with a cruising speed of 30 knots. The shallow 16-inch draft allows access to skinny water despite the boat's size and capability. The 29-foot fiberglass hull spans nearly 10 feet of beam, providing a stable fishing and family platform that handles rough conditions with the catamaran's characteristic smooth ride.

The boat carries significant fishing equipment: a 96-inch Rhodan trolling motor with 36-volt lithium battery setup, 23 rod holders, a live-well, and large insulated fish boxes. Navigation and safety systems include a Garmin 24-inch radar, SiriusXM weather satellite receiver, and Garmin autopilot. Digital throttles are installed throughout. A head compartment offers nearly 6 feet of standing room with overboard discharge.

Custom additions enhance both function and comfort: a heavy-duty dive ladder, bow and cockpit shade systems, snap-in SeaGrass flooring, a bow platform with cushion insert, and protective covers for the bow and cockpit with Eisenglass enclosure. The boat shows 695 hours of use. A full survey was completed in spring 2025.
