The 2021 Baltic 68 Café Racer is the first hull of this performance daysailer series, designed by Javier Jaudenes and Surge Projects. Built with approximately 50% flax fibre reinforcement in the hull and interior, the yacht combines lightweight construction—22.8 tonnes total displacement with 7.8 tonnes of ballast—with a powerful sail plan and minimal moving parts for straightforward handling. A Marstrom carbon rig eliminates running backstays, and a captive main sheet winch simplifies short-handed operation.
Twin Oceanvolt electric saildrives deliver 15kW each with regeneration capability, powered by a 73.3 kWh lithium-ion battery bank. There is no combustion engine noise or vibration. Solar panels contribute additional charging, and the system integrates with comprehensive monitoring. The yacht carries a full cruising and racing wardrobe including near-new jibs and racing kites.
Below deck, the interior features an owners' suite forward, a crew or guest cabin aft, and a comfortable saloon with galley. Light maple finishes and cork decking create a contemporary atmosphere across the 68-foot hull. Navigation is handled by Bosch & Gott H5000 electronics, with Sonos audio integrated throughout. The yacht has been personally inspected and is in excellent condition.
