2021 Bavaria C42

This 2021 Bavaria C42 is a 42-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built for cruising performance in variable conditions. Powered by a 57 hp Yammer diesel engine, the boat reaches a cruising speed of 7.5 knots and maximum speed of 10 knots. The C42 hull features hard chines and a V-shaped bow designed for balance and handling, paired with twin wheels connected through Jeffa steering linkage to a single high-aspect-ratio rudder for responsive helm feel.

The layout includes two cabins and one head, with a galley and pantry aft, plus a utility room offering potential for additional cabin space. The head compartment is spacious with a separate shower stall. A bow thruster aids maneuvering, and Webasto diesel heating provides climate control. An upgraded separate freezer is installed in the pantry.

The sail plan comprises a full-battened mainsail in a lazy bag, self-tacking jib, and code zero—all designed for shorthand sailing. Deck equipment includes radar, Starlink connectivity, solar panels, and a custom stainless steel arch fitted with dinghy davits. A 10-foot dinghy with 8 hp Yamaha outboard is included. The cockpit is protected by a full La Fabrica enclosure, and the boat comes with a diesel engine upgrade from the base specification.
