2021 Chaparral 287 SSX

The 2021 Chaparral 287 SSX is a 28-foot fiberglass runabout powered by a single Volvo V8 engine producing 380 horsepower. Built with an extended V-plane hull reinforced with Kevlar, the boat combines performance with thoughtful construction details including loom and Panduit wrapped wiring with triple sealed connectors, water-resistant circuit breakers, and premium gelcoat with Hydropel resin. The cockpit features twin touchscreen displays at the helm, stainless steel dash panels, and a deluxe steering wheel, with helm bucket seats fitted with flip-up bolsters.

Accommodations center on flexible seating and entertaining space. Back-to-back aft seating converts to an oversized sun lounge, and a large U-shaped aft seating area with storage underneath provides additional comfort. An enclosed head with opening portlight serves the cabin, and an extended swim platform enhances water access. The custom Bimini top and custom stainless steel-capped windshield with integrated supports offer weather protection.

Standard systems include a cockpit drainage system and self-bailing system for water management. Lighting throughout the cockpit and engine compartment uses LED technology. A stainless steel bow ladder and extended swim platform support safe boarding and water activities.
