The 2021 Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising and charter operations. At 44 feet with a 25-foot beam, she combines strong sailing performance with spacious living areas and excellent helm visibility. Twin Volvo D2-60F diesel engines rated at 60 horsepower each provide reliable propulsion, complemented by an 11kW Onan generator for onboard power.
The boat sleeps up to six across five cabins: four guest cabins with private ensuite heads and showers, plus a dedicated crew cabin in the forepeak. Throughout the interior, air conditioning maintains comfortable temperatures. The galley features a large propane stove and oven, microwave, 90-liter freezer, and additional refrigeration drawers in the saloon and cockpit. Hot and cold water systems serve the galley and deck showers.
Cruising systems are comprehensive. An Aquabase ESW 901 watermaker produces 105 liters per hour. Solar panels mounted on the hardtop supplement the electrical system, which includes a 2000W inverter charger and additional AGM battery bank monitored by LinkPro. A Mantus 85 anchor with 200 feet of chain and rode provides ground tackle. The boat carries a Highfield 340 tender with a 25-horsepower Yamaha outboard.
The Elba 45 is rigged with a fully battened mainsail, Profurl genoa furler, and triple reef system. Sail handling equipment includes upgraded Dyneema halyards, electric windlass with helm chain counter, and electric winches for dinghy davits. Navigation comes from a Garmin suite with chartplotter, radar, autopilot, AIS, and Panoptix forward-scanning sonar. Deck amenities include a cockpit refrigerator with ice maker and sound system, mounted propane grill, and underwater lights.
