The 2021 Fountaine Pajot Isla 40 is a fiberglass catamaran configured with three cabins and three heads, designed for extended cruising. Twin Volvo D1-30F diesel engines deliver 60 horsepower combined, with approximately 890 hours on each engine as of February 2026. A factory-installed 7.5 kW Onan/Cummins generator supports the onboard systems. The hull reaches a maximum speed of 8 knots.
The starboard hull houses the owner's suite with a queen berth aft, a private electric head in a separate compartment, and a walk-in shower. A large forward storage area accommodates additional stowage or washer-dryer installation. The port hull contains two en-suite cabins: a queen berth aft and a V-berth forward, each with its own head. Throughout both hulls are ample hanging lockers and storage compartments.
Power and climate management systems include three-zone air conditioning (12 kBtu port and starboard, 16 kBtu salon), a 2000W Victron inverter/charger, a 4×100-amp-hour AGM house battery bank, and 50-amp 240V US-spec shore power. The pressurized seawater system feeds both galley and anchor locker washdown. Navigation and control equipment include a Garmin suite with radar and AIS, electric windlass, and electric mainsail halyard winch. The mainsail features full battens with three reef points.
The boat was fitted with the Isla Comfort Pack including Bose audio, upgraded Fusion speakers with outdoor capability, lazy jacks, and extensive interior conveniences. Ablative bottom paint and Propspeed anti-fouling coatings were applied in March 2025. Standing rigging underwent full inspection in June 2026 with no deficiencies found. Additional equipment includes 215 feet of 316 stainless steel chain with galvanized backup chain, and a 2025 Highfield tender with Mercury 5HP outboard.
