2021 Lagoon 42

This 2021 Lagoon 42 catamaran combines the brand's characteristic stability and space with thoughtful design across 42 feet of fiberglass hull. Twin Yanmar diesel engines of 57 horsepower each power the boat, with both units logging around 1,600 engine hours. The beam stretches to just over 25 feet, opening up the interior to an unusually roomy layout.

Four cabins and four heads provide accommodation for extended cruising, with each cabin fitted with an electric fan. The galley includes a 265-liter refrigerator and freezer, a three-burner LPG stove, and oven. The saloon benefits from large windows framing panoramic views, while the expansive cockpit includes a hard-top bimini, cushions, and a dining table. A foredeck and flybridge both offer sunbathing areas with mattresses.

Navigation and electronics are handled by B&G systems: a 12-inch chartplotter, speed and depth instruments, VHF, AIS receiver, and autopilot. Sails comprise a full-batten three-reef mainsail with lazy bag and a self-tacking jib; three Lewmar winches—including one electric self-tailing unit—manage the rig. Four Solbian solar panels feed into a substantial battery bank of four 130-amp service batteries and two 95-amp engine batteries, supported by an inverter for 220V power.

The boat carries comprehensive cruising equipment: a 1,000-watt electric windlass with 20-kilogram Delta anchor and 100 meters of chain, a 10-person life raft, safety harnesses and life jackets for ten, full fire safety gear, dual bilge pump systems, and a Yamaha-powered Brig dinghy with davits. Shore power, water heating, electric toilets, and a deck shower round out the systems.
