2021 Ranger Tugs R-29 S

This 2021 Ranger Tugs R-29 S is a compact fiberglass trawler built for coastal cruising and fishing. At nearly 29 feet with a 10-foot beam, the boat carries a single 320-horsepower Volvo diesel engine positioned outside the cabin for quiet operation, with a cruising speed of 17 knots and a top speed of 22 knots. Standard bow and stern thrusters with remote controls aid maneuvering in tight spaces.

The cabin layout focuses on practical living for extended time afloat. A forward island berth with en-suite head, a dinette that converts to a double berth, and an additional double berth below provide sleeping for up to six. The galley includes a two-burner range with oven and broiler, microwave, and dual refrigeration. The salon opens to the aft cockpit through a reversible cabin bulkhead, and the outside space features a reversible seat, jump seats, and a teak table for dining, plus an optional shade sail for protection.

Navigation and convenience systems are comprehensive: dual Garmin 8612xsv chartplotters with an integrated Garmin GHD18 radar and GHC20 autopilot, plus Vesper AIS transceiver. A Webasto diesel heater serves multiple cabins and the cockpit, while a 140-watt solar panel and new inverter/charger support the four new AGM house batteries installed in 2025. Additional equipment includes a bow-mounted windlass, an onboard RIB tender with electric davits, trim tabs, and various cockpit amenities from a rail-mounted barbecue to a dedicated freezer.

Recent service includes new bottom paint, exterior ceramic coating, replacement anodes, and a complete fluid and filter refresh. The engine shows 790 hours and has been consistently maintained. A low-speed valve in the transmission supports slow trolling for fishing applications.
