The 2022 Azimut Magellano 66 is a three-deck trawler built from fiberglass and powered by twin MAN D26 diesel engines rated at 850 horsepower each, driving shafts with proportional bow and stern thrusters. The yacht reaches 26 knots at full throttle and cruises comfortably at 16 knots on approximately 160 liters per hour. Twin MAN manoeuvring joysticks—installed at the helm, flybridge, and stern station—give full control in all conditions. A SeaKeeper NG16 gyro-stabilization system enhances comfort underway.
The main deck centers on a bright saloon with seating and a smart TV, adjacent to a fully separated galley fitted with Miele appliances, fridge-freezer, and ice maker. A dining table for six connects to the saloon via serving hatch. The lower deck houses five cabins: a full-beam master and VIP suite, each with en-suite head; a third cabin with twin singles and en-suite; a port-side bunk cabin; and a crew cabin aft accessed from the cockpit. Total accommodation spans multiple decks with ample stowage and a washer-dryer combination in the central corridor.
The covered flybridge seats up to 14 and includes a helm station, bar with outdoor grill, sink, refrigerator, and ice maker, plus a large lounge with rain shower and canvas shading. The cockpit aft holds a seating group for eight with enclosable camper cover, a built-in BBQ unit with sink and refrigerator, and an electro-hydraulic teak gangway and bathing platform. A Pirelli J39 tender from 2021 is included. Teak decking runs the full exterior, tropical air conditioning cools all cabins, and a freshwater maker is installed. Electric cable management and a built-in vacuum system complete the outfit.
