The 2022 Cobalt R8 Surf is a 27-foot fiberglass wake and surf boat powered by a single 430-horsepower Volvo gasoline engine. It combines a spacious layout with dedicated water sports capability, offering more room than others in the Cobalt Surf lineup. The boat features wrap-around, yacht-certified seating throughout the cabin and cockpit, with enlarged head accommodations and generous storage for passengers and gear.

The R8 Surf is equipped with Cobalt's Surf System, a complete platform for wake and surf performance. This includes six hard ballast tanks capable of holding up to 2,300 pounds of ballast, a purpose-built surf hull, and Surf Gate technology designed to create tournament-quality waves. The forward-drive Volvo engine complements the specialized hull design to deliver the performance characteristics demanded for serious water sports.
