2022 Ellis 36 Express Cruiser

This 2022 Ellis 36 Express Cruiser is a semi-displacement downeast design built with Maine craftsmanship. The fiberglass hull features an integral skeg protecting the shaft and prop, vacuum-bagged composite construction, and a full keel that delivers a soft, predictable ride in rough conditions. Powered by a single 440-hp Yammer diesel with a five-blade bronze propeller and Evolution shaft system, she burns fuel efficiently and runs quietly. Bow and stern thrusters make tight-harbor maneuvering straightforward. She displaces 17,000 pounds and carries 210 gallons of diesel fuel.

The yacht's shelter is designed for real use—an enclosed hardtop with opening windshields, teak tables on both sides, and varnished cantilevered seating that provides excellent visibility and working space. Wide-open cockpit layout with a transom door, a large lazaret hatch with generous storage beneath, and thoughtful details throughout. The hardtop sits at 6 feet 6 inches, matching cabin height forward.

Below deck, accommodations balance comfort with practicality. A V-berth with six-inch memory-foam cushions, teak shelving, and drop-in storage. A proper head with separate shower stall, hot and cold pressurized water, and a hand-polished stainless sink. The galley includes a Wallas diesel cooktop, Isotherm refrigeration and freezer drawer, stainless sink, and ample teak cabinetry and storage. All interior and exterior teak is finished with Epifanes satin and gloss coats.

Electronics suite includes a full Garmin setup: VHF, GPSMAP chartplotter, AIS, 18-inch dome radar, autopilot, and depth transducer. Two deep-cycle house batteries and a dedicated engine battery power the boat's systems. Four bilge pumps handle water removal. The package includes a tender—a 2021 Achilles 10.2-foot inflatable with davit system—and a complete commissioning package with safety gear, dock lines, fenders, and documentation.
